Aim of the project

In accordance with the vision of the “Department Communications” to inform university members about sustainability, our group’s first project was to put together a map of the sustainable stores in Basel. From clothing stores to grocery stores, from restaurants to furniture stores, this map is intended to both facilitate an easy first step into a sustainable lifestyle or cater to people already making sustainable choices and searching for more local services to do so. This project will be ongoing with efforts to include online services and stores, spread and market the map both electronically (on social media or through university channels) and physically (potentially posters or flyers), and maybe even developing an app. We acknowledge that this list of sustainable stores is far from exhaustive (last updated November 2020), as we focused on areas that the team knows. We are open to any recommendations or further help.
